Most volunteers donate 1-2 hours of their time weekly, or 1-2 days per month. We accept help of all kinds, so whether your specialty is working with people, stocking shelves, or filing papers, your contribution will directly impact the needy citizens of Talladega.
Areas of assistance
Registration / Front Desk
Assist with the applications of new clients, determining their needs. Update existing client files, answering the phone.

Clothing Coordinators
Sort donated clothes by size, separating summer and winter clothes, seasonal clothes, etc. Arrange displays and assist clients with selection.

Food Pantry Distribution
Order food from the food bank, retrieve the food, unload and stock it in our pantry/freezers. Box groceries for clients and assist with loading in vehicles.

Drivers
Pick up food orders from the food bank and local stores for delivery to the Samaritan House.
​
Evangelism / Witness
Speak with clients about their spiritual needs at the front desk or when loading groceries.
